RECOGNITION

Of the Month's

The "Of the Month's" recognize outstanding contributions to college and university residence halls in the following categories: Advisor, Community,

Community Service Program, Diversity Program, Educational Program, Executive Board Member, Faculty, First Year Experience, Organization, Residential Assistant, Social Program, Spotlight, and Student.

Any school affiliated with NACURH is eligible to make, or receive, an "Of the Month" award and/or nomination. The OTM must be month specific, meaning the nomination should only focus on the month for which it is written. For example,

nominations for November need to submit in December.

OTMs are awarded at the campus, regional and national levels.

OTM's 101

Why should I submit an OTM?

There are so many different people involved in trying to ensure that the on-campus experience is amazing for everyone involved. They put on programs that serve to create community, among other things.

Recognizing these people puts a smile on their face and makes them feel good about their service to the community. It also makes it more likely that they will continue to work really hard. This process can also serve as an inspiration to other schools who may try something that was mentioned in another school's OTM.

How do I submit an OTM?

OTMs can be submitted at nrhh.nacurh.org/submit-an-otm.

When are OTMS due?

OTMs are due each month on the 4th at 11:59pm, following the month of nomination. (EX: Writting an OTM for an event in February? Submit it before March 4th @11:59pm)

Who can write OTMs?

Anyone living/working at an institution of higher education

How do I know what category to write about?

If you would like to recognize a program, use the "program" category. All other nominations should be submitted under the "general" category.
